Velvi is bound to stand out. Why? Because it is the brainchild of Jeans, a software engineer who has his roots in Madurai, has a penchant for uniqueness and is working in the U.S. He said that the idea of filmmaking came to him like a flash when he was at work; he felt that this creative medium should serve as a release for his creative energy that was hitherto being channelled for the software industry.
While talking to Galatta, he said that he wanted everything involving this film to be new and unique. Moreover, he wanted to give a chance to new artists and to those who are talented but did not get a chance till now. Vishwa and Hasini, two new faces, form the lead pair. He said that this movie will place womanhood in high regard and elevate its position in society. He said that this movie will also be long-remembered for its cinematography.
Since Jeans has been in U.S. for quite some time, the influence of Hollywood could be very well be seen in him. This was quite obvious when he said he paid top attention to cinematography, which is the norm in Hollywood.
The movie’s music will be released on May 11, 2008. The movie is complete now and has been sent to the Censor Board for certification, after which the release date will be finalized. Director-producer Jeans, said that he has high expectations from this movie.
