Imagine this. The guy is a basketball player. The girl doesn’t know the first thing about the game. He teases her about it and brags about his skill. She then tells him to stop blowing his own trumpet. His male ego is hurt, so he tells her that he will shoot the ball from the middle of the court and deposit it in the basket. If he succeeds, she should obey him, and if he doesn’t, he would do as she orders. He wins and she obviously feels that he’s going to ask her for a kiss. And that’s exactly what he asks for. And just as she puckers up, he pushes her away! Why? He believes that this sort of thing mars the sanctity of their relationship and that even if he asked it of her, she should never have agreed! Convoluted? You bet!
