Talented director Venkat Prabhu was the host for Lingusamy's Paiyya (also spelt as Paiya). Though his Goa and Paiyya are both scheduled to hit screens during Pongal, the director's friendship with Lingusamy was the main reason why he agreed to host the music launch. He was also the life of the after party, which had several celebrities letting their hair down and having a good time.

Paiyya, starring Karthi and Tamannaah, is a complete entertainer with music by Yuvanshankar Raja. Coincidentally, Yuvan is also composing for Venkat's Goa which stars Jai, Piaa, Premji, Vaibhav and Sneha in the lead roles.
