First it was said that actress Ileana will act in Sultan, the warrior, but now the opportunity has been awarded to Vijayalakshmi of Chennai 28 and Anjaathe fame. It is also heard that the filming has started in Hyderabad and a few scenes involving Vijayalakshmi and Rajinikanth have been shot already.
Sultan, the warrior, is a high-end 3D animation film being made with the latest “motion capture” technology. The film is being shot on a huge budget.
The film is slated for a release in April 2009.
