She made her debut in Tamil opposite Sinbu in the film Kaadhal Azhivadillai. But Charmi met with more success in Telugu. Her films Lakshmi, Pournami and Style did well at the box-office.
Now she is making a comeback in Kollywood after four years with Laadam opposite a newcomer. In the film, she plays the role of a gangster. Laadam, directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by Chola Creations also has Prabhu playing an important role.
