After the amazing production Kaadhal, Balaji Shakthivel has come up with Kalloori. Known for his lively characters and plotlines, Kadhal came with a fair share of new faces. Kalloori's hero Akhil is new to Tamil audiences; Tamanna, who has already worked in films like Kedi and Vyabari, is the heroine.
Joshua Sridhar, who composed the music for Kaadhal, has worked for Kalloori too. His compositions have a flawless blending with the theme of the movie and charm the listeners too.
'Sariya Idhu Thavara' by Haricharan is enthralling, with remarkable energy and enthusiasm. Set in a high note, the song fills the listeners with the same joy that it radiates.
Haricharan has sung 'Kalloori' accompanied by a chorus. The voices are in perfect harmony with the stringed instruments providing the music. This song is the highlight of the album; there is a unique nostalgic flavour attached to it.
Harini Sudhakar's voice delivers 'Unnarugil Varugayil' gracefully. Haricharan joins in, giving the right touch and complementing the effect of the song.
'June July' is a fast-paced number, aptly rendered in Suchitra and Krish's charming voices.
'Vandanam Ayya Vandanam' has a pleasant combination of lyrics and tune. The folk tune and the fervour with which it is presented will attract every listener's attention. Truly, a song and melody to remember.
