Friday, Feb 9th, saw a lot of celebrities at the Sathyam Cinemas complex in the evening. No, it wasn't because of any much-publicised event, but a very low-key private one - the screening of Pachaikili Muthucharam for the cast & crew of the film and their friends and family.
Everyone from Sarath Kumar (the hero of the film) and Radikaa to Suriya and Jyotika to Dhanush, Aishwarya, Soundarya Rajinikanth and other celebrities were there at the personal request of the director Gautham Menon, to watch the show nearly a week in advance of the actual release.
When asked, Gautham simply said that he would be out of the country during the film's release and he wanted to have a special get-together with the cast, crew and their families to watch the film before he leaves.
Everyone who came out during the interval and after the film commented that Gautham had done it yet again with a gripping film and especially commented on Sarath Kumar's and Jyotika's performance in the film. Out of respect for secrecy, though, no one wanted to let the cat out of the bag on what the plot really was.
After the show, everyone drove to a nearby star hotel for a very private dinner function.
Anyway, on watching the film, we can confidently say that it is one definitely worth watching!
