Peranmai will be the next offering from director Jananathan. His Iyarkai and E have left an indelible impression with the movie-lovers.
Peranmai has Jayam Ravi in the lead role, that of a forest officer. The movie has five heroines; Navya Nair and Thoothukudi Karthika will be two of them. Their characterisations will be entirely different from all that we have till date. Shooting for Peranmai is taking place in the dense tropical forests of Coonoor, Coonur, Chaalakudy, Thekkady and Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka. In Palanipalayam near Kerala, the team has spotted a huge tree that is 500 years old. The crew has also traced the records and documents that support the age of the tree. This venerable tree is also included in the cast.
Well, that clearly justifies the bonding humans have to have with nature!
