The reel Periyar has started receiving awards and titles for his performance in the movie Periyar. First, it was our CM who honoured him with the Periyar title; next in Coimbatore, a function by Bimbam Thiraippada Iyakkam was held to felicitate Periyar artistes. Sathyaraj and Gnanarajasekaran were the special guests for that occasion.
Everyone in the group praised the film and cast. In the function, Sathyaraj was awarded the title of 'Kalaignar Thilakam'. Earlier, he was awarded with titles like Puratchi Thamizhan and Ina Murasu. It is Sathyaraj's golden time.
