Director Praveenkanth, who took up the tricks of directing from S.J. Suryah and Cheran, tried his luck directing and acting in Thullal. But this film was not much of a success. In fact, he is struggling to distribute this film. He also had plans to be the hero in another movie but it is halted for now. This film is to be produced by Manoj Kumar, directed by Praveenkanth with a new hero in it.
