A.R. Rahman enters into Tamil television for, a talent hunt across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh which is all set to be launched by HMV Saregama India. `Isai Puyal` A.R. Rahman will be the judge for the final show.
A press meet was held in Chennai on 2.5.07. Saregama and Rahman join hands together for a fresh search of unseen and unheard innovative musicians worldwide. Auditions for the program will be conducted in Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Salem, Thirunelveli and Chennai in Tamil Nadu and also in major cities in Andhra Pradesh.
Vasundhara Das would be one of the judges for this hunt. The Final contest is that each team has to compose music to the lyrics of Valee, one the most famous lyric writers, who would be writing the lyrics based on the theme "Hope".
The hunt would be shot and telecast on a private channel in Tamil as well as in Telugu. The gratification for the winning band in Tamil and Telugu will cut an album with Saregama India Ltd.
The highlight of this hunt would be Rahman speaking on camera to wannabe musicians and giving helpful tips on the beauty of aural instruments to them, the logic behind composing a theme music, etc.
