This is Madhavan's newest release after Thambi, though he has very much been in the news with his public appearances and busy schedules shuttling between Mumbai and Chennai. The versatile Madhavan has signed up many Hindi and Tamil films and his dates are choc-a-bloc.
Rendu, starring Madhavan, Reema Sen, Anushka, Bhagyaraj and Vedivelu, is slated for release all over, day after tomorrow 24th November.
The film has been directed by Sundar C. who directed Anbe Sivam with Madhavan and acted in the leading role in Thalainagaram, a runaway hit earlier this year. His work has been done under his wife Khushbu's banner Avni Cinemax.
Of course, the biggie behind this movie is producer Oscar Films' V. Ravichandran, the man said to have the Midas touch.
Oscar Films Pvt. Ltd. is one of the biggest producers in Chennai and the company behind successes like Vanatthai Pola and Anniyan. He also distributed the then-troubled Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, which then ended up as one of the year's biggest hits in Tamil cinema.
