Sandya became famous for her portrayal of the young innocent girl in Kadhal. Since then, the talented actress has done interesting work in films like Dishyum with Jeeva and Vallavan with Simbu.
Her next film is Manjal Veyyil with Prasanna. This film also marks her entry as a singer. Under the music direction of Bharadwaj, she has sung a song for the film.
Bharadwaj identified her singing abilities and has composed a song based on western music for her. The picturisation of this song has been done in a grand scale.
Earlier, Bharadwaj had also introduced actress Shalini as a singer in Amarkkalam. Sandhya has now joined the elite club of singing actresses like Srividhya, Jayalalithaa, Vasundhara Das and Shalini.
