Sathyabhama Deemed University is conferring honorary doctorates on actor Sathyaraj and music composer Deva on 11th July. The two veteran film personalities would be honoured for their vast contribution to cinema.
Deva has composed music for over 400 films as well as many devotional albums. Sathyaraj has acted in over 200 films. His recent portrayal as Periyar in the movie with the same name has won him much appreciation.
Sathyabhama University has earlier awarded honorary doctorates to other film personalities including Kamal Haasan, Manorama, directors K. Balachander, Bharathiraja and producer A.V.M. Saravanan.
