"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways" - these are the opening words of a famous poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. So also, Superstar Rajni's fans must continuously find newer and more novel ways to show their adulation for him. Starting with having his picture in their rooms, then in their pooja room, compulsorily attending his films in first day, first show, throwing coins on the screen when he appears, wearing T-shirts with his photo on it, joining his fan clubs, tattooing his name on their bodies, naming their children after him (Rajinikanth for boys, Rajni for girls), garlanding his posters, breaking coconuts before his image, lighting camphor, conducting pooja, pouring milk on his picture (some even poured beer on his poster)... The list goes on. But how far can it go? What is the ultimate height of Rajni fervour? Ask Bharat Kumar, an IT consultant originally from Tuticurin (Thootukoodi) but now living in Chicago.
Bharath Kumar, a diehard fan of Rajinikanth, decided to take his admiration to the greatest heights possible while coming down to earth. He went for a skydiving expedition during the opening weekend of Sivaji, with a banner saying "Sivaji Rules" strapped to his body. He has sent us pictures of this great adventure, which we are now sharing with our viewers. Enjoy!
So what will be the next novel way for fans to display their adulation? Stay tuned and keep watching galatta.com.
