The number 2 seems to be a big highlight in the movie Vel starring Suriya and Asin: it’s the 2nd film Suriya and Hari are doing together after Aaru, it’s Asin’s 2nd film with Suriya after Ghajini and Suriya is said to be doing a double-role in this movie (this is a first for him, though).
Produced by Mohan Natarajan under the banner of Sri Rajakaliamman Medias (who also produced Aalwar), this movie also has Vadivelu, Nasser, Saranraj, Kalabhavan Mani, Ambika and others. Music is by the man who is currently on a success roll, Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Priyan.
Like any other Hari movie, this movie too is expected to be a totally commercial one with a good mix of action, comedy, music and romance.
The tag line going around for this movie is “Aayiram arivaal aala saadhikkaadha vishayam, aaru arivu naal saadhikka mudiyum” – “what cannot be achieved with a thousand blades, can be achieved with 6 senses”.
