Veerappu is the remake of the hit Malayalam film Spadikam starring Mohanlal.
Late Silk Smitha played the role of a devadasi in the film. Tejashree is essaying the role in the remake. Sundar C. plays a lorry driver who has an illicit relationship with her, even though he loves a school teacher, played by Gopika.
Tejashree's character is not just of a glam doll, but also has a very strong well-defined characterisation. It will give a lot of opportunity to demonstrate her acting talent.
