Vijay TV, in association with BIG 92.7 FM, was on the look out for candidates who would make perfect VJs for Vijay TV and RJs for BIG 92.7 FM for which they started the Garnier Fructis TV Stars show, which is now reaching its grand finale On July 21st.
In this final show, we see the 11 finalists visit the studios of BIG 92.7FM to play the role of RJs. They are given training on voice modulation and learn the basic technical aspects required for an RJ. Popular BIG FM RJs Yo Yo, Balaji, Ophelia, Dina, Shaw and Mamathy Chary instruct the 11 contestants on the basic qualities of an RJ. The jury (Mamathy Chary and James Vasanthan) choose eight out of these 11 candidates who make it to the next round, where they undergo a styling session, are groomed and given a new look to suit their profiles. After being tested on language skills, they get a chance to interview the special celebrity guests Uma Riyaz and Anu Haasan. Based on their performances, the jury will choose only four. Of these four, who will become an RJ and who will become a VJ?
