Director-producer Shankar's chartbuster Veyyil has been selected for the Cannes festival.
It is worth mentioning that this is the only movie from Kollywood selected for Cannes festival. Four movies are selected from Bollywood, and one each from Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam and Bengali.
This festival will be held from 16th May till 27th May. Veyyil will be screened on May 19th at 6.30 p.m. Director-producer Shankar and director Vasantha Balan will participate in this function. They will depart for France on 18th May.
