"Ilayathalapathi" Vijay celebrated his birthday on 22.6.07 on Vijay TV too! Right from 14.6.07, Vijay TV organized many contests for his fans, one of them relating to Vijay and Vijay TV, conducted on the Star SMS/ voice portal. The 50 top scorers won an exclusive opportunity to celebrate Vijay's birthday and joined him in a gala bash on June 23, 2007, where their dream of meeting him in person came true.
Prakash Raj, special guest for the event, shared his experiences working with Ilayathalapathy, saying. "Vijay is a very good friend of mine and I love to work with him for more projects."
S.A. Chandrasekar, Vijay's father and a popular director, blessed his son and wished him a long life.
Vijay's fans were overjoyed on meeting him, interacting with him, AND getting special gifts from the sponsors. The Super Singer Junior finalists (Vignesh, Sai Charan, Abarna and Krishnamoorthy) gave a splendid special performance, which was well appreciated. The Kalakapovathu Yaaru team (Sivakarthikeyan, Dotty and Lollu sabha fame Jeeva) also came to perform stand-up comedy, mimicry and entertained the audience.
