Come May 2007 Vijay presents four new shows to its kitty to cater to an audience of all ages adding more spice to its primetime line-up. Dance, Drama, Competition, Reality, Love, Comedy; the right ingredients for entertainment are a part of this special line-up starting May 14, 2007. A look at what’s in store.
Dhool – starts May 14, 2007; Mondays at 10pm
Dancing mania continues on Vijay TV. Dhool is a high-spirited dance competition for the Indians based in Singapore. With over 30 enthusiastic groups participating; show promises a platform showcasing all kinds of dance; disco, contemporary, classical, folk, ballet, salsa, jazz, fusion, hip-hop and more. Entertainment guaranteed! King Queen Jack – launches May 15, 2007; Tuesdays at 10pm.
Tamil standup comedy show; for the first time on Tamil television, featuring popular comedians, who guarantee non-stop laughter. Y Gee Mahendran, Uruvasi, Badava Gopi and Bosskey; comedians who have entertained individually come together on this platform to be a part of this exclusive comedy club. Performing standup comedy based on all walks of life promise to tickle your funny bones.
Jillunu Oru Challenge – starts May 23, 2007; Wednesdays at 10pm.
After two successful shows Jodi No.1 and Jillunu Oru Jodi, Vijay proudly presents another show for couples; Jillunu Oru Challenge. A reality game show among 3 couples presented with one challenge. 3 couples are given an apartment and Rs. 1 lakh each with which they will have to furnish the apartment. The couples will be judged based on creativity, design, budget, planning and time management. At the end of the 4 episode series; the winner takes it all. Hosted by none other than Vijay’s very own Mamathy Chari; the show has celebrity walk-ins. On completion of this challenge; 3 new couples gear up to face a new challenge and the show goes on.
Kadhal – launches May 28, 2007; Mon – Thu at 9pm.
Love is in the air; in the peak of summer! Adding to the mush meter; Vijay presents a reality fiction series based on real life love stories. Kaadhal, is a show for all those in love and for those who want to fall in love all over again. This show features love stories that have faced happy and tragic ends. Love stories narrated by the couple with prologues and epilogues and some scenes dramatized to create interest.
With an array of interesting programmes lined up, Vijay’s primetime is all set to sizzle this summer.
