Garnier Fructis – TV STARS; the hunt for versatile entertainers who can hold the audience with their incessant chatter and enthusiasm among the contemporary generation is hitting television screens on May 19, 2007. Vijay TV along with BIG 92.7 FM are on the lookout for the perfect mix of candidates who would make a VJ for Vijay TV and an RJ for BIG 92.7 FM.
After preliminary auditions held at Marrybrown outlets across the city on April 28 & 29 which was attended by hundreds of eager and enthusiastic performers. The show now is all set to hit the screens with the 48 contestants who have made a mark in the preliminary round. The celebrity judges for this show are none other than James Vasanthan; a legendary TV host and Mamathy Chary; the face of Vijay also a popular RJ. The show will have a slew of rounds with a competitive edge that will test their skills on voice modulation, creativity, diction, attitude, fashion statement, entertainment quotient, sense of humor, spontaneity etc.,
Apart from the celebrity judges; the show also boasts off popular VJs and RJs who come onto the show to share basic attributes required to be a good RJ/VJ. Grandmaster GS Pradeep talks about handling celebrities; while Chinmayi (of Airtel Super Singer Jr.) talks about talent. Divyadarshini (of Jodi No.1 and KPY3 fame) discusses energy levels required and Deepak (popular actor/anchor) delves into styling and presentation. The RJs of BIG 92.7 FM also join in the action as Speed Dheena chats on presence of mind; BIG Balaji emphasizes the importance of good diction and command over the language. Yo Yo and Imsaiarasi talk about being informative and humor respectively.
