Kodaikanal FM, in order to encourage cinema persons, honoured them by presenting awards. These awards are distributed to the films and technicians according to the choice of listeners of Kodaikanal FM.
Vishal was awarded as best actor for Sandakozhi, Pooja was chosen as best actress for Thambi. P. Vasu was awarded best director for Chandramukhi and best music director award was given to Sabesh-Murali.
Kanja Karuppu was awarded best comedian for 2005-2006. Special awards were given to Sneha, Saravana Subbiah, Raja, D. Imman and Vivek for best special actress, best special directors, best special music composer and best special comedian respectively.
