For quite a while, Gauthami was not accepting any acting offers. Now she is making her comeback through Venkat Prabhu's Saroja. She has consented to act because of the challenging and powerful role given to her. The film also has S.P.B. Charan, Sumanth (Telugu actor Koti Ramakrishna's son) along with Vega; Prakash Raj and Jeyaram are also cast in important roles. Cinematography is by Shakthi Saravanan and music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Venkat Prabhu handles story, screenplay, dialogue and direction.
