Dasavathaaram is getting bigger day by day. Three hundred technicians at two different places are working, day in and day out, round the clock, on the post-production of the movie. In spite of this, Dasavathaaram will hit screens only for Tamil New Year. The audio release for the movie is being planned for February 2008, and all the big-wigs in Indian cinema are sure to be there.
Oscar Films’ Ravichandran produces this movie with Kamal Hasaan in the lead, enacting 10 separate roles in the movie. The leading ladies are Asin, Mallika Sherawat and Jayapradha.
Ravichandran, who also holds the rights to release Jackie Chan movies in India, has invited Jackie to be release the music of Dasavathaaram at the grand function planned in February 2008. He showed Jackie clippings from Kamal’s movie, clippings from the Dasavathaaram songs and also informed him that Kamal has been acting in movies since the age of 5. Jackie Chan, already impressed with what he saw, was just amazed to know that Kamal Haasan, 54, has been acting since age 5. Jackie Chan, who was particularly astounded with Kamal’s portrayal of a 92-year-old woman in Dashaavtaram has agreed to participate in the audio launch.
Word is that Jackie Chan will release the audio; Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan will receive the first copies. Leading South Indian actors Mammootty, Mohan Lal, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Vishnu Vardhan will also be special guests at the event.
