Pyramid Saimira and Jnanabhanu launched the One Reel Movement to help upcoming directors.
Several established directors participated in the launch to show their solidarity to the cause. Support also came from the actors' fraternity in the form of Sathyaraj. The actor, who has been in the industry for over three decades, has expressed his willingness to act in films made by through this movement for free!
Not surprising, coming from the actor as he did not take any remuneration for his work in Periyar.
