Haripriya, the Kannada actress who debuts in Kollywood through Kanagavel Kakka opposite Karan, says she is very keen in doing well in Tamil films. Haripriya says that since Tamil films have a wider reach, any good work by an actor in a Tamil film will get noticed by a larger audience across the globe and is a quick way to fame and fortune.
The actress says her career in films just happened when a Tulu director offered her a role after watching her in ad films, which she did for “pocket money”. Soon, Kannada and Tulu film offers flowed in and she became a successful actress in Sandalwood. She is quite a celebrity in Karnataka and now, she is even making inroads into Kollywood.
Speaking on her experience in Kanagavel Kakka, Haripriya said portraying a playful, mischievous and jaunty girl was a pushover for her as it reflects her real life image.
