If you like reading Danielle Steele's novels of father and son bonding coupled with a sickness one of them is battling then you would most probably enjoy 'King' too. One of the main characters suffering from a physical ailment has been the core element of many Tamil films but what sets 'King' apart from others is that how they have chosen to reveal who is the real one suffering from the sickness at the end. Much to the surprise of the audience and the character itself it is one twist that makes you sit up. Carry alot of Kleenex and warm thoughts about your family, not the moments when you were grounded and you are sure to enjoy the movie. Shanmugham (Nasser) and Raja(Vikram) live in Hong Kong. Vikram is a management student who also happens to be an illusionist. Upon discovering that his Dad is suffering from a terminal illness called multiple sclerosis he plans to bring his Dad down to his ancestral hometown in India. Nasser's father (Janagaraj) embraces him after 25 years as Nasser left his family marrying somebody against their wishes. From then on it is one big happy family making the best of limited time. When you are totally convinced that you know about where the story is heading to the plot makes a total 180-degree turn that you hadn't anticipated. Apart from doing a neat job out of his role he romances with Sneha a bit. Everybody have done just what they were expected to do. If you are person who believes in hope may be you will accept the ending that in a way is different and most probably a very appropriate one too.
