Arun Vijay is all set for the release of Feather Touch Entertainment's Malai Malai, directed by A. Venkatesh. Arun Vijay pairs with Vedhika for this action entertainer with Prakashraj and Prabhu in important roles. This talented and dedicated actor is still waiting for his moment of glory in the field of showbiz but is determined not to give up. Arun's earlier films Thavam and Veda were fairly entertaining and created quite a buzz, but both bombed at the box office. Arun then took a break from acting and completed a challenging course in direction at New York Film Academy, returning with zeal to achieve success. But strangely, even after this course in direction, he did not change direction in his career.

He headed for acting, and yet again for a complete masala movie. Why? Arun thinks he has selected the apt script; its finer details will showcase his skills and fetch him fame, glory and - box office success. In his words: "Commercial cinema always works. I was excited about the Malai Malai script because it has everything in the right measure. The technicians were excellent and the film has come out well," he gushes. "When I hear a script, I visualize how it will be if it is being made with another actor and what the public opinion will be. That approach helps a lot." By that visualization, he sees great things for Malai Malai and hence himself.

"I have been waiting for the right script that'll help me compete with top stars. Malai Malai will get me into the race for the top slots," he confides. Vedhika, who put up a neat show in Muni, Kaalai and Sakkarakatti, is the heroine of Malai Malai. Pooja was supposed to play the role, but opted out since she was busy with other projects. Prabhu, Prakashraj and Santhanam also form part of the cast.

Director A. Venkatesh has created a screenplay to specifically match Arun Vijay's personality and included intense action sequences. Arun has learnt and performed Parkour-style stunts choreographed by Kanal Kannan for the film. Music for the film is by Mani Sharma.
