Vishal after the grand success of Sandakozhi is playing a different role with Reema Sen and Shreya Reddy in Thimiru. Producer Vikram Krishna says, This movie is going to be a landmark in the careers of the cast and crew of this movie.

Ganesh (Vishal) is an enigmatic character who studies medicine in Chennai. He is workaholic, who overcomes various difficulties to complete his course and come out with flying colours. Ganesh is an introvert, and remains a mystery to everyone around him.

Srimathy (Reema Sen) pursues her education learning Psychology, in the same medical college that Ganesh studies in. She is all sunshine and just the opposite of Ganesh. This bubbly, cheerful girl is the heroine of the movie.

Tollywood-based VJ –turned-actress Shreya Reddy is playing the role of Easwari, who is an important character in the movie. Easwari is responsible for bringing about a twist in the tale of Thimiru!

Kiron is giving a special appearance in this movie and doing an item role. After a long gap Banuchander is starring in this movie along with Vadivelu, Manoj K. Jeyan, Vinayagan, Sri Ranjani, Meera Krishnan, Manicka Vinayagam and others.

Gangai Amaran has rendered a song in this movie for which Vadivelu is shaking a leg on the screen. Vadivelu dons the role of the hostel warden in the medical college. This movie is scheduled for a release in August.

Debutant director Tharun Gopi is handling story, screenplay and dialogues besides direction. Priyan is handling the camera while Dhinesh and Brindha are taking care of the dance sequences. The stunts are by Kanal Kannan and editing is by V.T.Vijayan
