Yaavarum Nalam opens up with a sequence that portrays the life of the couple after two years of marriage. The movie promises be different from the usual fare. There are no fights, no dance sequences, and no violence. But there are mesmerizing songs in the movie with music by Shankar-Ehshaan-Loy. Both Maddy and Neetu's characters are close to people we come across in our daily lives. The harmony and calm they experience is well-told and the sequences are very convincing.
Maddy's character has all the likeable qualities -- a thoughtful husband, a passionate lover, a man who faces life with will and ambition. Neethu portrays with perfection a lovely, docile, and of course, strong woman. Both these characters are projected to make us warm towards them, empathize with them. The story has a lot of scope to manifest Maddy's performance as well as his on-screen charm.
For Neetu, the brilliant actor who made an impressive debut through the Bollywood film Traffic Signal, this will be an intense portrayal. The cast also includes Sharanya, Telugu actor/ director Ravibabu, Amitha and Bollywood actor Druthiman Chatterjee.
Through P.C. Sreeram's camera, the film is full of emotional nuances, framed with astute involvement. Sameer Sandha, the talked-about art director behind the Bollywood hits Rang De Basanti and Guru, is working for Yaavaraum Nalam. He has erected a mammoth set of an apartment on the outskirts of Chennai. The major portion of the film will be shot in the set and also in locations in and around Chennai.
National award-winning director Vikram K. Kumar is all set to record this poignant love story. The whole film is planned on a tight schedule of 65 days. The movie is made simultaneously in Tamil as well as Hindi. The worth of the script becomes more focused felt through Vikram's intelligent execution.
