Ganesh (Vishal) comes from Madurai to Chennai to continue his final year degree in a medical college. Ganesh is known to every one in the college as a simple, strong and silent guy. (Reema Sen) Srimathy (daughter of his college lecturer) tries to meet him but he avoids meeting her. The college warden Vadivelu (Vadivelu) compels him to meet her. Periya Karuppu (Manoj K.Jeyan) and Chinna Karuppu are brothers who are money–lenders in Madurai. They are also known for their atrocities and rowdism. Their sister Easwari (Tollywood-based VJ -turned-actress Sriya Reddy) is equally shrewd like them, and lends out money and collects it using gundas. During one such occasion Ganesh, saves Srimathy’s parents from the cruel clutches of Easwari and her henchmen. Ironically, Easwari is attracted towards his haughty nature and wants to marry him. Without the consent of Ganesh she arranges for their marriage. Director Tarun Gopi has rightly placed a hinge at this place.
