Unnale Unnale takes us back to the era when Kollywood had only romantic, soft-focused, wonderful, peppy and feel - good love stories. Cinematographer - turned -director Jeeva, who had showcased his style in movies like 12B and Ullam Ketkume, has repeated his magic in this triangular love story. Jeeva has worked diligently to make the story in the most appealing and realistic manner. The suspense is maintained in style with the Keep-Guessing factor working till the end of the movie.
Karthik (Vinay) is a typical software pro. Full of enthusiasm and energy, he is attracted to every second girl he encounters. There is nothing malevolent behind his flirting nature. Jhansi (Sada) who is an extremely possessive, suspicious introvert, falls in love with Karthik who is but obviously, a complete contrast. And cupid strikes!!
But down the line she realizes that they are not similar in temperament. Karthik takes the split with a lackadaisical attitude, while Jhansi moves on to Australia for higher studies.
Well, in true filmy style, Karthik lands up in Melbourne and en route bumps into cheery, bubbly Deepika (Tanisha who plays cupid after realizing how deeply Karthik and Jhansi still love each other. However, there has to be a twist in the tale – the triangle starts hotting up with both the girls fighting for our man. Who gets Karthik is for viewers to watch and tell!
Music by Harris Jayaraj is definitely magic to the ears. A full 100 to Harris Jayaraj for the music especially “Unnale Unnale…”, “June Pona…” and the background score which keeps you humming long after you leave the hall.
Vinay, tall, dark and handsome, suits the character of a mischievous lover boy to perfection. The liveliness that seems bonded to his face comes handy in light-hearted moments.
Playing a complex, possessive girl, Sada has given the character the much-needed depth and has personalized her looks to convey the inner earnestness. Tanisha, on the other hand, has the same endearing cheerfulness of her sister Kajol. She looks gorgeous and is a delight to watch.
Unnale Unnale – A lover's fantasy!! A must-watch for a hard-core romantic!
