Nee Naan Nila is a beautiful triangular love story that evolves around Vinod (Bharathan), Raja (Ravi) and Nila (Meghna).
Vinod and Raja study in the same college and are from the same class. But both of them are rivals in the typical college politics style. They have their own set of friends forming two gangs of small time rowdies. They have their own problems and clashes. Adding to their conflicts, both of them bump into Nila at the same time and fall in love instantly with her. Now when it comes to Nila, she chooses Raja to be her love. Raja, on cloud nine, changes his character totally for her. On the other hand, Vinod's character becomes worse. He becomes a drunkard in a typical devdas style.
Tragedy strikes Raja's and Nila's life now. While travelling on a bike they meet with an accident and Raja loses his life.
Now Raja's spirit apears and he wants Nila and Vinod to get married. The spirit tries all sorts of possibilities to convince Nila that Vinod is the guy she should marry. On the contrary, Nila refuses to accept Vinod in her life. Does Raja's spirit succeed in convincing Nila? Will Nila and Vinod get married, this forms the climax.
Director M.P.S. Sivakumar has come out with a different love story. Music by Dina is pleasant, though it may not be a blockbuster. Karunass has a done a good job with comedy. His simple job of being the comic relief, is a good laugh throughout the movie.
Nee Naan Nila is is pleasant, watchable film. Good "timepass", great comedy, some good dialogues.
