Director Sreenu Vaitla's Victory Venkatesh and voluptuous beauty Trisha starrer Namo Venkatesa, produced by Anil Sunkara, Achanta Gopinath and Achanta Ram under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment, is a complete family drama with all commercial ingredients filled in it. Srinu Vaitla has come up with a good subject and the movie is good to watch once.
Namo Venkatesa is the story of Venkata Ramana (Venkatesh), an ardent devotee of Lord Venkatesa and bachelor with an over aged limit. A ventriloquist by profession, he is in a search for his dream girl. Venkata Ramana goes for a trip to Paris to perform his art for a Telugu association and he meets his dream girl Pooja (Trisha), the niece of cultural program organizer is Prasad (Brahmanadham), who arranges the trip. He falls in love with her at the first sight.
Prasad for his own personnel sake, asks Pooja to pretend to love Venkata Ramana and Pooja does so. Venkata Ramana loves her seriously and the drama goes on. Meanwhile, Pooja抯 uncle Chengalaraya and his father-in-law hatch a plan to inherit her property. They arrange her marriage with Chengalaraya's son Bhadram, a rowdy, in order to gulp the entire property of Pooja. Post interval the film further goes through many twists and turns.
Namo Venkatesa is out and out Venky抯 show from the start to finish. His acting is impeccable. Trisha is nice and has a good scope to show her acting skills. Brahmanandam is pretty good as a guy who loves fooling around with the people. Ali is entertaining in a brief role. Mukesh rushi, Jayaprakash reddy Dharmavarapu, Kota, Telangana Shakuntala play their characters well.
The music of the movie is above average and only the title song seems to be catchy. The rest of the songs are average. Cinematography by Prasad Murella deserves a special applause as the visuals are shot beautifully. Though the first half is entertaining, the second half is lengthy, a bit boring and predictable. On the whole, Namo Venkatesa is a family entertainer and will live a life of 50 days in the theatres.
